ABOUT
I'M LUCIA BAWOT
I was born in the coffee belt of Colombia. While I'm now based in the United States, coffee has always and will always be part of my DNA. For the better part of a decade, I've dedicated my life to capturing and telling stories with photography and video for different coffee farm-level projects to help form supply chain narratives, sustainability projects, and communicate value. This has taken me to visit more than 360 coffee farmers throughout Latin America and worked with more than 12 leading companies in the industry.
Currently, I'm based in the United States, but traveling back and forward while I finish my personal project We Belong, a photo book on women in coffee. To finish, I have my work permit and all my documents in order to work.In addition to my commissioned work, currently I'm working on my personal photography project "We belong" a photography book dedicated to Women in Coffee.
Lastly, I've published both printed and digital outlets like Standart Magazine, Sprudge Magazine, Roast Magazine, Espresso Magazine, Electrify Magazine, and several more.
